On January 4th, 1890 their first child, Luther Stamey was born in Haywood County, North Carolina. He died that same day.
On November 19th, 1893 their second child, Elsie Anne Stamey was born in Haywood County, North Carolina. She went on to marry Charles Benjamin Hipps (1895-1970) on July 8th, 1917 in Haywood County, North Carolina. From this union at least 3 children were born; Robert Haroldean 1920-2014 (Kathryn "Kitten"), Treveylan Filmore 1922-2003 (Maeva E. Hamilton), and Ruth 1934-?. On March 4th, 1988 Elsie died in Lowell, Gaston County, North Carolina. At the time of her death she was 95 years old.

He went on to marry Ollie Ester Barrett (1899-1988) on May 16th, 1916 in Haywood County, North Carolina. From this union at least 3 children were born; James Ray 1918-2005 (Vertie Mae Sutton 1915-2004), T J 1920-1975 (Blanch Wilson 1919-2009), and Ellouise 1924-1998 (Samuel Dee Reece 1910-2008). On April 6th, 1985 Oscar died in Canton, Haywood County, North Carolina. He was buried in Bon-a-Venture Cemetery also in Canton, Haywood County, North Carolina. On July 3rd, 1900 their fifth child, Nellie H. Stamey was born in Haywood County, North Carolina. She went on to marry Camio Holder (1988-?) on March 24th, 1917 in Haywood County, North Carolina. No children were born from this union. On September 23rd, 1917 Nellie died in Beaverdam Township, Haywood County, North Carolina. On September 24th, 1917 she was buried in Longs Chapel, Canton, Haywood County, North Carolina. At the time of her death she was 17 years old.
On August 7th, 1908 their sixth child, Bertha Adaline Stamey was born in Haywood County, North Carolina. She went on to marry Julius Glenn Smathers (1906-1971) on June 29th, 1929 in Haywood County, North Carolina. From this union at least 1 child was born; Bobbie G 1930-?. On September 9th, 1972 Bertha died in Haywood County, North Carolina. She was buried in Bon-A-Venture Cemetery in Canton, Haywood County, North Carolina. At the time of her death she was 64 years old.
