On March 5th, 1873 the heirs of Letitia Blalock-Blalock (1792-1849) hired a lawyer to claim her inheritance from their grandfathers estate. Lucis M. Welch of Haywood Co., NC, USA was paid $1.00 by each of the heirs and was promised 1/2 the amount to any property he could aquire.

This document is very important for several reasons; 1. It listed Lettitia's father as well as her husband and all her children and 2. It listed the location where her father was buried.
